This tour is perfect for those who want to taste the best Montecarlo DOC red and white wine, discover an ancient wine estate in Montecarlo and feel an authentic Tuscan atmosphere.

Along the way, you will pass near the area of some of the historic and majestic Lucca countryside villas, built by rich nobles, from the 16th century onwards, to relax during the summer season. Then, you will follow a winding road to reach the medieval village of Montecarlo which overlooks the sunny profile of the hills, offering a more than panoramic view!
This is followed by a visit to the small village, characterized by one of the most glorious medieval fortresses in the whole of Lucca! You will have the opportunity to see the noble red stone that underlines the crenellated tower and castle walls, before being finally ready to enjoy the wine experience!
In the wine estate you will discover the different stages used for winemaking and for the production of the best quality extra virgin olive oil. There will also be a visit to the vineyards and the impressive olive trees.
The tasting will begin with Montecarlo wines, which have obtained the DOC certification (the origin of the grapes used is controlled), both for the red and the white wine.
You will taste different vintages and genuine Tuscan food, such as "crostini", among which there will be a delicious appetizer of Italian tomato bruschetta, with extra virgin olive oil. You will also taste Tuscan salami and pecorino (cheese made from sheep's milk) before enjoying the sweetest thing: cantucci biscuits and the typical Tuscan sweet dessert wine!
On the way back you will sing traditional Italian songs, thanks to the joy of this fantastic half day out, inebriated by the authentic Italian atmosphere, between culinary art and winemaking in Lucca!!
