Villa Reale
Villa Reale is one of the oldest and most luxurious villas to visit in the territory of Lucca and its province. Elisa Baciocchi, Napoleon's sister and at the time ruler, first of Lucca and then of all of Tuscany, also lived there. Today you can visit the restored complex, which covers 16 hectares and includes the majestic Villa Reale, the elegant Palazzina dell'Orologio, Villa del Vescovo and the splendid park that still retains its original 17th-century layout, with its geometrically ordered evergreens. Also the Italian Garden and the Water Theater are very beautiful, the latter extends around a large pool decorated with waterfalls, statues and masks, not forgetting the Spanish Garden in deco style, the Avenue of the Camellias, the Fishpond and Pan's Cave.
