From Lake Gherardesca to the Autumn Camellia Exhibition: flora, fauna and local products in the company of local experts.
You will explore Lake Gherardesca, a natural oasis recently restored by the Municipality of Capannori, home to around 3,000 birds, including many rare species. You will then reach S. Andrea di Compito, strolling along the paths of the "Camelietum," where a guide will explain the characteristics of various camellia species and share the history of this ancient tradition.
The tour concludes at the Centro Culturale Compitese on October 12th and 13th and at the azienda agricola Alle Camelie on October 19th and 20th, where you will taste local products, including the extra virgin olive oil from the Compitese hills.
